Rosie Beaver - Drag Queen

When I first started, websites were my thing, and the very first one was for my friend who I was working with at the time on Les Mis, Craig Mather. Since then I have made quite a few more and many more to come!

Each website is made to the clients wishes, and from scratch. I feel this gives a more personal touch to it, other than getting a ready made website from an online company.

Below is a list of the websites I've created. Click the images to visit them and explore!

AndyCoxon.com

CLIENT: Andy Coxon

SPECIFICATION: Andy is a musical theatre actor and needed a website that would have all the latest information and news about him, and also have videos and photos from productions he has been involved with.

OUT COME: I used high-res photos of Andy as the basis of the website, making it very simple and clean cut. This technique is great when there isn't alot of information to be shown on each page.

TESTAMONIAL: "James has real creative vision and takes on board all your ideas and makes them work, if not better! I'm so pleased with my site and he was a pleasure to work with"

CoolRiderLive.com

CLIENT: Cool Rider Live Ltd.

SPECIFICATION: I needed a site for my production that would give the visitor all of the necessary information they needed about Cool Rider so that they would book their tickets.

OUT COME: I designed a very basic site that matches the advertisment campaign so that users would instantly recognise it.

CLIENT: Craig Mather

SPECIFICATION: Craig is a musician who needed a website that would have all the latest information and news about him, and also have audio, videos and photos from his gigs. The design would need to fit around the cover of his EP which had already been designed.

OUT COME: To keep his site simple, I kept all of Craigs information on one page. There is a very brief biography, followed by several social networking links so that his fans can easily keep up to date with him.

DanielleHope.co.uk DanielleHope.co.uk

CLIENT: Danielle Hope

SPECIFICATION: Danielle is a musical theatre actress and needed a website that would have all the latest information and news about her, and also have videos and photos from productions she has been involved with.

OUT COME: I was provided with some photos from a shoot that Danielle had done for a theatre magazine and used this to build the site. I embraces the greens and purples in the photos and went along the polaroid look.

GhostIsDancing.co.uk

CLIENT: Ghost Is Dancing

SPECIFICATION: Ghost Is Dancing is a charity event that was organised by members of the touring company of Ghost The Musical. A simple website was needed to show all of the information regarding booking, the event and why it was happening.

OUT COME: I used the advertisement campaign that I had previously designed, to build this site. It is very simple with everything on one page.

LesMisVPhantom.co.uk

LesMisVPhantom.co.uk

CLIENT: Les Mis V Phantom: The Hat-Trick

SPECIFICATION: Les Mis V Phantom is an annual charity football match organised by memebrs from each show (including myself) and also includes celebrity players. The website needed to be simple but have all of the essential information on it, and a place to book tickets to the event.

OUT COME: The poster that I had previously designed for this event, was the source for the website. It consists of 5 boxes that slide over each other to reveal more information, so that the user doesn't have to scroll down the page to see more.

LiamTamne.com

CLIENT: Lez Brotherston

SPECIFICATION: Lez is a Tony and Olivier Award Winning Theatre Designer who needed a website to showcase his large portfolio of design work.

OUT COME: I decided that production photos from the many shows Lez has worked on, would be a great background for the website, so his work is constantly on show.

LezBrotherston.com
NewRepTheatre.com

NewRepTheatre.com

CLIENT: New Rep Theatre

SPECIFICATION: New Rep Theatre is a production company based in London. They needed a website to showcase their previous and future productions

OUT COME: Starting completely from scratch, I first designed the logo for the company. I wanted a funky and slightly grungy National Theatre, RSC type logo, which then heavily influenced the rest of the website.

Ready4RCloseUp.co.uk

CLIENT: Ready For Our Close Up

SPECIFICATION: Ready For Our Close Up is a regular exhibition of all forms of art, by people who work anywhere in theatre. A simple website was needed to show information about the next exhibition, and showcase previous events

OUT COME: Early on in the design process, I decided that bold colours will be the best thing, as it will make information on the poster stand out. The client chose from a variety of colours, and picked Red. I then created a simple single page website with everything needed on it.

Ready4RCloseUp.co.uk

CLIENT: Rhapsodia

SPECIFICATION: Rhapsodia is an innovative storytelling company, which needed a website to reflect this.

TESTAMONIAL: "We originally approached James about redesigning our website after seeing his existing body of work. His varied and beautifully constructed websites are so specific to the personalities of his clients that we felt he would be able to create a site which conveyed our work clearly. For the purpose of promoting our business we knew that we needed an online presence which was more appealing to our client base than the one that we had previously. James has taken into account all of our requirements and listened to exactly what we wanted. He has communicated with us and answered all of our queries and has ultimately created a website which perfectly sets the tone for our company."

TamMutu.com

CLIENT: Tam Mutu

SPECIFICATION: Tam is a musical theatre actor and needed a website that would have all the latest information and news about him, and also have videos and photos from productions he has been involved with.

OUT COME: I used high-res photos of Tam as the basis of the website, making it very simple and clean cut. Each page has a different photo on it. I left enough space at the top of each page to let the photo breathe before the rest of the information.
